THE CHALLENGE:

To construct a new senior housing facility that would enhance the existing long term care campus.

THE SOLUTION:

The second phase of a campus repositioning plan brought new assisted living and memory care housing to a campus that had historically focused on senior skilled nursing care.

The new facility offers supportive housing for seniors with numerous points of choice for independent resident activity and socialization, including a coffee bar, fireplace lounge and chapel. The assisted living facility also features a unit dedicated to supporting residents with Alzhiemer's or other dementia related illnesses. This supportive program space offers unique finishes and design elemetns such as an interior porch to help residents with way finding.

Added to the facility program is an adult day program that seeks to further support the community while offering an additional revenue stream for the project sponsor.
