THE CHALLENGE:
Recognizing the responsibility to the housing needs of the community, Bethesda Homes looked to WAI Continuum to expand their skilled nursing campus to include housing alternatives. The project required:
- Create a highly marketable design
- Phasing construction with other campus elements being added
- Capture additional funding sources to assist in project financing

Bethesda Homes
The result is a two phase project consisting of 59 congregate, 30 assisted living units and space for a child daycare and preschool.
The finished product not only incorporates tax increment financing to ensure unit rents remain at affordable levels for the community, but also a design that is highly attractive to the market, ensuring strong occupancy levels.
