25 years of innovative design excellence

WAI Continuum was formed and incorporated in 1981 on the idea of building an architectural firm that would offer clients a fresh new approach to design.  Founded by Principal David Wolterstorff, WAI Continuum has grown to encompass a larger, more diverse service scope and national project portfolio, with a strong specialization in the senior housing and healthcare industry.

Our clients are located across the nation – from California to Louisiana – and encompass the following industries - education, religious, community and municipal – with a clear specialization in senior housing and healthcare. 

1981 – Wolterstorff Architects is formed

1985 – Project management services are added as ‘The Housing Group’

1988 – Housing Group name change to ‘Continuum Consultants’

1989 – Development services grow to include state applications (moratoriums / HUD)

1989 – Acquisition of Voigt & Fourre Architects, bringing education and religious market experience

1990 – Groups merged to form ‘WAI/Continuum’

1991 – Interior design services added

1995 – Construction services group is added

2006 – WAI Continuum celebrates 25 years of excellence
